David Ash joined Taggart, Rimes & Usry, PLLC in December 2011, after practicing with one of Mississippi’s largest law firms for a number of years. David’s practice focuses primarily on real estate law, including real estate development, property transactions, commercial lending, lease negotiations, real estate taxation, land use, zoning, and real property litigation. David has also assisted his clients in the areas of general corporate and contract law, including business entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiations, and contract enforcement.

David received his law degree, cum laude, from Mississippi College School of Law in 2007, where he served as the Managing Editor of the Mississippi College Law Review and was a member of the American Bar Association, Student Division. While in law school, David was awarded the Business Law Award for the Business Section of the Mississippi Bar Association and the Best Paper Award for Contracts I. David completed his Bachelor of Science degree, summa cum laude, in Business Administration from Mississippi College in 2003, where he received the Scott-Swor Founders Award, the Perry Academic Award, the G.M. Rogers Memorial Award, and the Amy Brand Memorial Scholarship Award. David was also elected into the Mississippi College Hall of Fame. Prior to entering law school, David worked with a large publicly-traded Real Estate Investment Trust where he served in a broad array of areas including leasing, corporate operations, accounting, human resources, and customer service.

David is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, the Real Estate Section of the Mississippi Bar, the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association, Jackson Young Lawyers, and the International Council of Shopping Centers. David is currently serving as a member of the Mississippi Next Generation Committee for the International Council of Shopping Centers and as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Tri-County Real Estate Attorney’s Association. David is also a volunteer with the Mission First Legal Aid Office.

David and his wife, Susannah, reside in Jackson, Mississippi, with their two children. David and his family are active members of Pinelake Baptist Church.
